1. Are the cottages away from the main road?

Yes, the only noise that can be heard is the river, which you can see from the balcony.

2. Is parking available at the cottages?

Yes, each cottage has a parking area.

3. Can I bring my dog?

Yes, if it is well behaved and doesn’t chase horses or cattle. We are insistent that the dog does not sleep in the bedrooms or on the furniture. Perhaps you could bring their own bed from home.

4. Can we bring our horses?

Horses are very welcome and you can wander around the whole property.

5. Are the cottages air-conditioned?

Yes, reverse cycle air conditioning is there for very hot days and the cooler evenings.

6. Is linen supplied?

Towels and all bed linens are supplied.

7. How far away are the local shops?

Shops are five minutes away in Gloucester, which has several restaurants and cafes if you do not feel like cooking.

8. Is there a laundry?

Yes, the laundry is situated at the house so that you can enjoy peace and quite at your cottage.

9. Is there a telephone?

Yes, at the house.

10. Can we swim?

There are several delightful places at the river; there is also a pool in town.

11. Can we fish?

Yes there are fish in all the dams and in the river. One dam is stocked with Australian Bass.

12. What local activities are there?

Canoeing and mountain bike riding, there’s an interesting gold mine, which is worth a visit, and a golf course is close by in Gloucester. Barrington National Park is only five minutes away.

13. How far is the beach?

The nearest beach is through Taree and on to the coast it’s about fifty-five minutes away or then head down to Forster. The drive is scenic and great for photography and unequaled Australian views.

14. What time is check out?

Check-out time is 11am.

15. What public transport is available?

A very good train service from Sydney.

16. Do you have facilities for honeymooners?

The cottages are very private; champagne and fruit are complimentary on the first night.

17. Is there a church in the vicinity?

Yes, complimentary transport provided on request.

18. Are there places for picnics?

There are several delightful shaded areas for a picnic.

19. Do you have an environmental policy?

Extensive planting of native trees has been done, and an enviro cycle sewage system is operating. The riverside is currently being repaired and replanted to encourage our native animals, and water conservation is a priority.

20. Are the cottages smoke free?

Yes, outside the cottages are comfortable chairs and tables for those who wish to smoke.

21. What can we do if it rains?

Books and games can be borrowed from the house and taken to the cottages.

22. Is there a taxi service available?

Taxi’s can be hired in Gloucester.
